What is biltong?
Biltong is a traditional air-dried beef snack originally from Southern Africa. It’s made using quality beef, vinegar, spices, and time — not heat — which gives it its rich flavour and tender texture.
How is your biltong made?
We use traditional small-batch methods with carefully selected beef, real ingredients, and a slow air-drying process. No shortcuts. Every batch is made with the same care we’d use for ourselves.
How long does it last?
Our biltong is best enjoyed fresh, but it typically lasts 4–8 weeks when stored correctly.
Keep it in a cool, dry place and out of direct sunlight. For longer storage, refrigeration is fine.
Does it need to be refrigerated?
Not immediately, but it will last longer when refrigerated. Biltong is shelf stable for a period, but we recommend refrigeration once opened — especially in warmer climates — to maintain freshness and texture.
How should I store it?
• Keep it in the original packaging until opened
• Once opened, reseal tightly or transfer to an airtight container
• Store in a cool, dry place or fridge
What ingredients do you use?
We use quality New Zealand beef, vinegar, salt, coriander, pepper, Worcester sauce, and a small amount of sugar.
No artificial fillers. No nonsense.

Is your biltong gluten-free?
Our Biltong does use ingredients that contain gluten (Barley-From Vinegar). If you have severe allergies, please contact us before ordering.
How do you ship orders?
We ship across New Zealand using tracked courier services. Orders are packed fresh and sent as quickly as possible to maintain quality.
How long does shipping take?
Typically:
• North Island: 1–3 business days
• South Island: 2–4 business days
Rural deliveries may take an extra day or two.
What is your returns policy?
As biltong is a perishable food product, we are unable to accept returns for change of mind.
However, if your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we will resolve the issue promptly. We will arrange for the defective product to be returned to us. Please note that we are unable to provide a refund or replacement for items that are not returned.
Where practical, please include clear photographs of any damaged products to assist us in assessing the issue quickly.
What are Founders Packs?
Founders Packs are limited-run bundles created for our earliest supporters. They often include exclusive items, early access, and special pricing. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
Can I buy in bulk or wholesale?
Yes — we’re open to bulk and wholesale enquiries. However, as production capacity is limited, we would require time to assess the validity of any proposal.
